I’m usually very easygoing and prefer to give 5 star reviews when mistakes are honest and communication is transparent. While Hector is clearly knowledgeable, my experience hiring him for a 200-amp panel upgrade was unfortunately far from seamless. Hector was excellent during the initial consultation. He explained exactly why our EV charger breaker failed. He cited an overloaded circuit and an outdated, recalled panel—and suggested the 200-amp upgrade. In the beginning, his follow up regarding the permit application process was great. The actual installation team was also very efficient, working from 7am-1pm. Where Hector lacked was his communication and professionalism after the panel was upgraded and after he was paid for the job. The issues began during the inspection phase. If you’re looking for an honest, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced electrician, Hector is the one to call. He genuinely cares about his customers, takes the time to explain everything, and never recommends work that isn’t necessary. It’s hard to find someone this trustworthy. I highly recommend Hector to anyone looking for a reliable electrician!

I had a really good experience with Cano Electric. Hector’s prices were fair, and he helped me figure out which upgrades to do first since I couldn’t afford to tackle everything at once. When shopping for quotes, I’m always have an unsettling feeling that I’m being ripped off. This is NOT the case with Hector. Another electrician quoted me $750 above what Hector quoted me. He responded quickly, showed up on time, and cleaned up after himself, which I really appreciated. He upgraded my old 100 amp Stab-Lok panel to a 200 amp, and the whole process went smoothly. Only half a day! I’ll be having him back soon to install an EV charger because I trust he’ll do a great job with that too. So thankful to have found an electrician I can trust.

Hector Cano provided excellent service. He replied right away and arrived within 30 minutes to take care of my electrical needs. He quickly found a solution, fixed it on the spot, and charged a fair price. Very positive experience from start to finish and I highly recommend him for any electrical needs.

I’ve worked with Cano Electric several times over the past few years, and Hector has been consistently reliable and great to work with. He was originally referred to me by a friend, and even though he’s based in Chula Vista and I’m in Oceanside, he’s always made the effort to come out—usually coordinating it with other jobs he has in the area. He’s helped me with a variety of projects, including installing wiring for outdoor lighting around the front, back, and side of my house, as well as setting up Ring cameras. Most recently, he hardwired my Ring doorbell and installed an electrical outlet in the front of my home for a water leak detection system near the main shutoff. What really stood out is how thoughtful and detail-oriented he is. I didn’t want any visible plugs or cords in the front of my house, and Hector came up with a creative solution by installing a box to keep everything
