Wow! The flavor that comes from this BBQ is something you need to try. My friend and I tried Heavy's BBQ for the first time, and we can’t wait to come back. Some items were sold out, but we were able to order the brisket, the pork ribs, meatloaf, beans and gouda mac and cheese. You can tell that this food is made with passion and care. We couldn’t wait to eat so we ate in the parking lot, in the back of the car. There wasn’t one bad bite in that BBQ meat. It’s just different. The ribs are my favorite in all of San Diego, and I’ve tried ALOT. The meatloaf took me by surprise, too. We chatted with Heavy after a bit after we ate, and it was great to hear the story of how he got to this point. Chula Vista and the South Bay needed a high-quality BBQ spot, and I look forward to seeing this spot grow even more. Been a long time customer of heavys. He's a really good dude and his BBQ is top tier. If and when you are in san diego you need to go check him out.

best brisket i have ever tried. Who cares if he sells out early! thats amazing to see his business succeeding. Lived in chula vista my whole life and this has been the best food spot ive been to hands down

The place is inside a convenience store but it does not take away from the flavor. Everything t got was delicious. I would highly recommend the tri tip. Definitely going back. Hope the place has a lot of success and it becomes a full on restaurant.

Wow! Delicious, best BBQ in town in my own personal opinion. The beans, the mac, and especially the Tri Tip, super flavorful. You have to go there and try it. This is my go to from now on.
