WOWWWWWW! YEIII , finally. What a delicious place. The atmosphere is just absolutely amazing. Food was on point. We tried a few things on the menu. BBQ ribs, Mac and cheese 🧀 with tritip was to die for , the fries OMG... burger , the sandwich and brownie 😋. Everything is cooked to the order. Love their set up too.

Hefty Boy BBQ was highly recommended to me online, and after talking with Mac and getting an estimate, we decided to go with him for our school dance. Wow!!! we are so thankful we did! Mac and his crew showed up right on time, were incredibly professional, and came fully prepared with everything needed for catering. The food was fantastic and they kept the line moving smoothly all night. More people showed up than we had originally anticipated, and while I was getting nervous, Mac handled everything with total grace. He was prepared and made sure we were still able to feed everyone without any issues. I would highly recommend Hefty Boy BBQ Catering to anyone looking for a reliable and delicious caterer. And last but not least… the best pulled pork I have ever had. It literally melted in your mouth!

I absolutely recommend you visit this restaurant! It was our first time visiting this at-home restaurant and our experience was very pleasant. Besides the homemade dishes being delicious, the owners were very attentive and hospitable, they receive you with the most heart-warming attitude. The pulled pork and the classic smoked bbq ribs are a must! Give it a try and you will not leave disappointed.

I discovered Heftyboy when they catered a birthday party I attended. The food was so amazing that the following week I placed a catering order for my office. Mac and Cheri were easy to work with and very responsive. Most importantly, the food arrived hot and on time, and all of my coworkers loved it. We'll certainly be regular customers. I'm impressed that the sides were equally as delicious as the meat. You really can't heat this homemade, quality, flavor-packed food. My favorite BBQ in San Diego!

Mac is fully equipped for any size event his bbq trailer is state of the art and his cooking Techniques don’t disappoint. He cooked for our whole men’s group at our church event and the food was fresh and delicious. Thanks Mac for your hospitality and your gift to bring great bbq to our city :)
