Dining at Marzul Coastal Cuisine offers a fresh, coastal-inspired experience that blends relaxed elegance with bold, well-crafted flavors. The restaurant stands out for its inviting atmosphere, bright, airy, and reflective of San Diego’s coastal charm, making it a great setting for both casual dinners and special occasions. The menu leans into seafood-forward dishes while still offering a variety of options for different tastes. In my experience, the lamb shank was a standout, tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection, with rich seasoning that made it both comforting and elevated. The dishes are thoughtfully prepared and well-presented, with a balance of freshness and depth of flavor, a testament to perfect & consistent kitchen execution. The staff is warm, attentive, and accommodating, delivering a genuinely pleasant dining experience! However, like other restaurants within large re

Well this place is just fabulous! From the live jazz to the fantastic service, Marzul should be your first choice for dinner. David made my whole week — he is a shining star and can make anyone smile! The oysters, the sweet potato, and the squid ink pasta are all standouts and must haves. Everything else was also delicious, you really can’t go wrong (as David told us). And the churros were the perfect cherry on top!

Marzul is a great place to relax for lunch. The patio was perfect for some delicious bites and drinks on a sunny afternoon. My friend and I shared three dishes - Smoked Trout Tostada, Swordfish Tacos, and a Caesar Salad. Everything was delicious and the service from our server, Matt, was great! We definitely plan on going to Marzul again.

HEAVENLY! Such a special experience. Lovely restaurant and the best fresh food and seafood. Such creative dishes, hard to pick 1or 2. Had a taste of their oysters, tuna, octopus salad, smoked trout and the swordfish tacos. Heavenly. All the food was heavenly . Will be going back soon and recommending to all my friends. Chef came out and spoke to guests 👌 Photos are of a sampling of ahi tuna in a chicharon w/ blue flower and smoked trout tostadas. Great presentation.

Just opened three weekends ago so we had the place ourselves except for one other guest. It was a Sunday lunch. Beautiful day and the large overhead door was opened. Lots of covered patio seating. Wife and I had the swordfish tacos (2 per order). We both enjoyed them a lot. Then shared the Cesar salad, which was delicious but is rather unique for a Cesar salad. Shredded green and red cabbage, no romaine, for example. Chef makes an umami crumble sprinkle that was very nice. And it comes with chicken thigh meat and an egg yolk. Maybe needs a name change? Delicious, great staff, good views.
