We celebrated our son’s birthday at Ming’s Revolving Sushi & Bar because he’s a huge sushi fan, and it couldn’t have been a better choice! There were so many options on the revolving belt, which made it easy to start eating right away. The eel quickly became one of our favorites! We also ordered a couple of sashimi boats, salmon skin salad, sushi rolls, octopus balls, uni, nigiri, and more and everything was outstanding. The sashimi was especially impressive: fresh, thick, melt-in-your-mouth pieces beautifully presented on wooden ships with orchids. They instantly became the centerpieces of the table. You have to get one! They also have some really innovative twist on the sushi rolls. I tried the Tropical Mango Roll and was very impressed by it, the sweet mango slices on the outside and the spicy filling in the middle was like a flavor bomb in my mouth. Highly recommend it! Not a lot of choices but it will satisfy your sushi cravings if you’re in Otay Lakes area. At least we didn’t have to wait minutes in line and no issues with parking. You can order whole sushi rolls/soup and drinks on the tablet instead of individual plates from the conveyor. Enjoyed their nigiri/sashimi/ rolls; were all fresh and delicious. Got seated upon entering. Staff were friendly and attentive.  Recommended and must try revolving sushi spot.

The menu options were great! We enjoyed many of the different rolls. My favorite was the tropical mango roll because I havent had anything like it. They also have plenty of made when ordered items which are delivered in a cute car on a track above the sushi. My only hesitation with the rating is the place is not very busy (at least at lunch time) so I worry about the freshness of the rolls. There were definitely some rolls that were at room temp which makes me think they were circulating a little while. They also add a charge for credit card which I didnt see listed on the menu or receipt until the card was charged. It was not a big deal and only added a couple dollars but it would be nice to write it upfront.

Staff is friendly and very welcoming. When you walk in, you are presented with a modern Japanese sushi bar. The conveyor belts with food circulating around the tables and robot that bring your drinks to your table are a fun sight to see. The sushi was as fresh as could be and proportions were just right for a good bite. You also get a free mochi ice cream if you leave a review. Definitely would return.

Fun time at Ming’s Revolving Sushi & Bar in Chula Vista! Love the convenience of having the sushi pass by and being able to take whatever you want. They also have iPads that you can order fresh sushi, hand rolls, and more. They basically have every fish in the ocean, we enjoyed the salmon, tuna, eel, albacore, red snapper in nigiri and rolls. The beef yakiniku was really good. Fun robots delivering drinks. Nice Sapporo beer. Very friendly and helpful service. Recommend!
