Tacos El Gordo never disappoint. Craving for tacos and ended up here for our quick lunch. Be prepared for long line during lunch hours. Ordered out usual favorites! Taco de Tripa Taco de Lengua Taco de Cabeza Taco de Asada Tried numerous taco shops and were always ending coming back here. Highly recommended!

Perfect place for authentic tacos at very affordable prices. The tacos are pretty massive for the price and absolutely stuffed with meat. The ordering system is pretty confusing, they are supposed to have separate lines for each type of meat, but when you order you can ask the server to make any taco you want, so best to just line up in the shortest line. Most of the meat options are incredible, and with so many options there is something for everyone. Plenty of seating and there is nearby street parking.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The best tacos I’ve ever had! I came all the way from Australia, and everything was fresh, authentic, and full of flavour. The only downside was the language barrier. None of the staff I spoke to spoke English, which made ordering difficult. It would be great to have at least a few English speaking staff. Other than that, an amazing experience and I’d definitely come back.

Best adobada tacos I’ve ever eaten in my life. Hands down. They slice the meat right in front of you. The lines are a bit confusing as there’s a separate line for each category so be prepared to wait in several different lines if you want different things. We got 5 adobada tacos and 2 of the carne asada fries. The carne asada had a delicious smokey taste. Everything I ate here was amazing. There’s a small parking lot in the back. Luckily we found a spot but it was very crowded. The lines for food were out the door. I’ve heard from 4-11pm is when this place is the most busy and it definitely was. We will be coming back here. It’s one of our San Diego staples now along with Taqueria los Ruiz.

Been a customer for years. their food has had the same level of excellence since before. Pricing is affordable and experience is always top tier, even when packed.
